You use a technology called VoIP (Voice over IP), which means that instead of a standard telephone line, you call via the Internet. This happens most likely, is that the telephone call using any available bandwidth on the network, thus giving the impression that you lose your Internet connection. Could try calling your provider and ask how to adjust the bandwidth allocated to the completion of voice calls.
