My baby goes savannah monitor is this normal?

I just received my baby Savannah Monitor the pet store today is very painful and difficult to leave the cage here and there, running on the side. This is normal right? It is also a 75-watt bulb for a lamp Heat too hot? I'm pretty sure it's normal, I see many things. But I am a true conservative. Was wondering especially if the 75-bulb Watt burns or not.
