Chevrolet S-10 engine swap 2.2 to 4.3?

I had a friend drop me at the airport in my truck. While driving back, the bursting of the main radiator hose and the truck ran out of coolant, and kept driving. The engine was so hot it's broken head. The truck has about 150k on it, and I prefer to replace, but a new 2.2 in the area of the car is $ 1500.00 and can not find something decent in a demolition site. However, 4.3 's are numerous. I wonder if I can get a 4.3 and the install would be the hook transmission range, I need more back alley? Wiring harness. Looking for cheapest and quickest way possible to get the truck on the road. I know a V-8 conversion ass would be a bad thing, but I do not I want a lot of work because I have enough projects like this and I need the car for my daily transportation. Thank you

You can do it, but you must change it to do so, transmission, computer, exhaust system and everything, I have one, also made the 4-cylinder V-8 swap, there are many changes when you do so at the time of his to do with it, you want had bought the nine Moteur 2.2 will work much better with 4.3 of IT, but their work is not easy, we must also take the springs of a V-6 truck, custom front bear the weight of the V-6 and its hard work, hopefully get it done, good luck on this.
