Backpack Straps

My dog bit through my backpack strap. How do I stitch together and make it robust?

I think I've heard there are different thread for nylon straps as a whole I am incompetent to housework, but I am a college student, like most of my backpack should be capable of transporting a ton of weight and I do not dare to go buy a new one, is just nylon. No advice on the most robust way to achieve this would be greatly appreciated

If you take a local upholsteror Thay can sew a new strap for you or a patch to a section of strip using your sewing machine industry. This is the best way to see how much weight is carried in back pockets.
